As you may have noticed I have one page dedicated to book glasses, and if you have read my little bio then you know the reason behind this is that I have a very bad obsession with books they're like my drug. This page though will be dedicated to every other kind of glass that doesn't fit into a category
Below are a few pictures of what my product will be like.
I'm a reader, book hoarder, lover of YA, call me what you want, but I never seem to get enough books. I have put my self on countless book buying bans, and it never holds up. I'll admit growing up books were not my favorite things. I hardly read, and if I did they were the very first american girl books (Samantha, Felicity, Molly), or the baby sitter club books. After high school I started getting into mysteries like Mary Higgins Clark, then Twilight came and after finishing those I was hooked on my YA (young adult books). Whether you hate or love Twilight you can't deny that there are certain quotes within the movies or books that you love, make you shed a little tear, or maybe even laugh.
Why not pull out a few wine glasses with those quotes from those books, or other books to get a conversation going.
Prices will vary between $5.00 to $10.00 a glass. My idea isn't to charge 20.00 for one. I can understand if it is down right hard to make, or if it is extremely artistic. I for one am not an artist and don't claim to be. Do I like to draw? Create? Have fun? Yes! That is mainly what I am doing with these, but also I want to be able to sell them and make some kind of profit for the time and money I put into buying the materials, but I also know that people don't have 20.00 for a glass. Ten dollars will be my cap, and that's if it's DETAILED. I will try, and make a few different kinds of glasses and put up here to show the different styles and what amounts they would be.
-One with no drawing just words and a design would be the $5 dollar mark
WineRx is my new baby business. I have a few reasons as to why I started it.
I was thinking of a way that I could try and make extra money on the side that would be creative and I would enjoy doing. Even with me working and my husband working we still find our selves living paycheck to paycheck, and it sucks I'm not going to lie. I know life can be a fickle thing and sometimes you hit the rough patches, but there's nothing I wouldn't do for Ryan. I know one of Ryan's dreams is to build his baby (his mustang), and I would love to be able to see that dream come true. As of right now it's about $2200 dollars to do what he wants, and this is just to fix stuff that needs to be fixed regardless. We actually were really close to fixing it before we had some issues with a room-mate not paying rent that we were putting aside for this reason. He has definitely bee through a lot in his life, and I want to see him happy.
My second reason is while browsing Etsy, and looking at some wineglasses I realized that these prices were ridiculous almost 20.00 for one glass. Even while shopping I came across some wine glasses that were decorated and again the same prices. I want to be able to offer them cheaper. I'm not an artist. I don't claim to be one. I want the product to reflect the price.
What's with the name?
WineRx is my mixture of the product I'm selling and my job.
In some ways it can be seen as a drug in itself. Wine that is. I don't recommend using it for this purpose, but sometimes it does help to calm you down after a long hard day at work, or maybe a fight you had with someone, or just to have fun. Also the Rx stand for pharmacy/prescriptions and seeing as how I'm a Pharmacy Technician it just fit. :)
I've been blogging for about 4 years now, but it's mainly at my Book Blog: Bookaholics Anonymous Online. (Yes, that was a shameless plug in of mine. LOL) I also have a few others that aren't worth mentioning right here.(If you really want to see them-Click here for my Blogger Profile) I'm currently 27 years old, but come April 4th, 2014 I will be 28 and then another 2 years til 30. :( I'm a pharmacy technician and have been since 2006 with the same company. I just married my love on November 16, 2013. Love you Ryan!
